SUBMISSIONS

Proudly Canadian, and obsessed with all things horror, we urge all who feel brave enough to send us their work. We accept submission all year round. If we think what you have is a good fit for the magazine, we will boastfully put in your work.

Short Stories: Year round we are accepting short stories, preferably horror, speculative, or gothic in nature, though deviations to the genre can sometimes be acceptable. The magazine is of course mainly horror based so gore to some degree is permitted, however stories with an overabundance of erotic material or sadism are not allowed. Shock value fiction will only be considered if it is inherently clever. Stories must be between 1000 - 5000 words and in proper manuscript form. Attach the story as a word document in the email. DO NOT PUT THE STORY OR COVER LETTER IN THE BODY.

Artwork: Art work is a major piece of the Canadian Sepulchral and we are always looking for more creative content. Art can be anything from a cave drawing, a terrifying oil painting, or your own work. While we are always open to various types of art, movie poster - esque pieces and Canadian themed or historical pieces are ideal.

Payment for art is a contributors copy, promotion, and a negotiable price, usually five dollars for a piece.

Memoirs/Folktales: A big piece of the Canadian Sepulchral is putting Canadian folklore on the forefront. That means not everything is fictional. We love hear of people's encounters with the occult. We are looking for real life tales of ghost encounters, monster sightings, or otherworldly happenings, ideally concerning Canadian monsters or ghouls. Bonus points if the tale has been told through generations. Send us your story in an email. For these, around 500-5000 words is ideal, but the number is flexible.
